CERTIFICATION - Teacher Training Programs

I.P.C. recommends a background in at least one of the following categories: Pilates, dance, fitness training, yoga, athletics, massage, classes in anatomy/bio-mechanics. Experience in fitness or wellness programs better prepare you for the certification workshop.

Teacher Training Courses Offer the Following:
 
· 100 Hours with a Master Level Pilates Instructor, provides comprehensive training in Floor/Mat work, Reformer, Trap Table/Cadillac, Wunder Chair, Small Barrel, Large Barrel; and, auxiliary equipment: elastic bands, hoops, balls, standing spring work.
· Workbook- Over 1500 exercises with pictures including description, purpose, principles, cueing, contraindications and modifications.

  Posture and Alignment Assessment
  Guidelines for designing programs appropriate to the client's needs.

· 100 Hours of Lab time with experienced movement technicians.

· Refresher courses, at no additional cost.
· CPR/First Aid Certifications available at additional cost to all students.

Certification Requirements:

100 Hours of lecture & lab time attendance
A Passing grade on practical exams on each apparatus
Completion of homework assignments
A Passing grade on the Final Written Exam [ 74% or better ]
100 Hours of documented observation
100 Hours of documented internship teaching
100 Hours of practice time
