International Pilates
Terms, Policies and Stipulations
for the Comprehensive Mentor and On-Line Mentor Programs

Stipulations

  1. You are responsible for choosing a mentor for participation in the IPCollege Mentor program.
  2. You agree that you will not hold IPC or it's agents responsible or liable for of your mentor's participation, actions or negligence.
  3. You or your Mentor must be fluent in English.
  4. You or your Mentor must have internet access and a skype account to communicate with the IPCollege Professor and IPCertification Agent.
  5. A Pilates studio is required for your 'Independent Studies' component of the 1-on-1 program; Observation, Self Practice, Practice Teaching, Community Outreach Programs and Research Project to accumulate the required Education Units.
  6. Negotiation for use of a Pilates studio and equipment for your 'Independent Studies' component of this Mentor program is your sole responsibility.
  7. You agree that you will not hold IPC or it's agents responsible or liable for any actions or participation of the Pilates studio that you choose as a local practice site.
  8. In order to teach in any Pilates studio you must obtain Fitness Trainer Liability Insurance at your own expense.
  9. Advanced full payment of tuition includes one copy of study materials in digital format. Hard copies are available from 'Infinity Publishing' for additional fees.
  10. Pay-as-you-go options or Payment Plan Agreements are not available in a Mentor Pilates education program.
  11. Tuition fees do not include payment for your 'Independent Studies' component of the this program.
  12. It is your responsibility to self-test regularly to assure retention of material and self-evaluate your progress.
  13. You must notify the instructor if you believe that you require additional tutorial assistance.
  14. Graduation is not guaranteed; Grading Criteria and Graduation Requirements determine qualification of IPCollege accreditation.
  15. You are expected to be prepared for each scheduled session; please review the Class Preparation so that you know what is expected.
  16. It is the instructors' prerogative to dismiss you from a session if you are not prepared for a session, emotionally charged or unprofessional.
  17. IPCollege may substitute, transfer or reassign your IPC educator at its discretion.
  18. If you miss classes or are dismissed, you may make up classes for additional fees.
  19. Scheduling appointments is negotiable between you and your IPC instructor; if you chose a set schedule, temporary or permanent changes must be agreed upon.
  20. You may choose either an IPC Final Written Exam or a Project or Thesis as part of the Requirements to complete your International Pilates College Inc. education.
  21. A Pilates education diploma is a Pilates Certification agency requirement. Certifying agencies are separate entities from education institutions.
  22. Certification is not guaranteed; accreditation criteria, testing standards and the Competency Doctrine determine qualification of IPCertification.
  23. An Internship Program may be available after you obtain Liability Insurance.
  24. All participating parties must follow the Dispute Resolution Process if conflicts arise to promote a setting of mutual cooperation and respect.
  25. Both parties must agree upon any changes, additions or deletions to these terms, policies and stipulations prior to your tuition payment.
  26. You must read the Liability Waiver before beginning this program; a tuition fee payment shall be your agreement to the IPCollege Liability Waiver.

Terms

  1. Your tuition payment of $4,500 gives you a credit of 60 Instruction hours; 30credited hours with the International Pilates College Professor, 7credited hours with the International Pilates Certification Agent and 23credited hours with the Mentor of your choosing; you may choose more time with the Pilates Professor or mentor according to your needs.
  2. You have up to 6 months to complete the 'Instruction Component' of the Mentor programs.
  3. Additional hours may be available at a $100 hourly rate after the credited 60 instructional hours have been charged or after the 6 months expiration.
  4. You have up to 12 months to complete your 'Independent Studies' component to accumulate 390 Education Units.
  5. With submission of a Project or Thesis you are granting your legal copyright release to IPCollege with your expressed permission for publication.
  6. A tuition fee payment constitutes your acceptance of and compliance to these 'Terms, Policies and Stipulations'.

Policies

  1. Withdraw Policy; you must notify your enrolling IPCollege agent in writing of your withdraw from this education program prior to your 2nd scheduled session.
  2. Refund Policy: withdraw before the 2nd meeting allows a pro-rated refund, minus a $200 administration fee plus $100 per hour for time attended, prior to withdraw.
  3. Dropout Policy: a dropout is non-refundable. A withdraw after the second meeting is a dropout.
  4. Transfer Policy: transfers of credited hours to a third party are not allowed.
  5. Scheduling Policy; schedules may be set as temporal or permanent; failure to notify of changes to a set schedule may result in NO-Show Charges for missed sessions.
  6. Tardiness Policy: tardiness will be documented in the Grading Criteria and will not be credited toward future time.
  7. Cancellation Policy: failure to notify your professor, mentor or testing agent of cancellation 24 hours prior to scheduled sessions is considered a Late Cancellation.
  8. No-Show Policy; failure to appear for a scheduled appointment without notification is considered a No-Show.
  9. Dismissal Policy: a temporary dismissal may be enacted due to unprofessional behavior with no charge incurred for the first two occurrences.
  10. Charge Policies; Late Cancellations, No-Shows and Dismissals (post 2nd) will be charged against your 60 hours credit
  11. Re-Testing Policy: failure to pass practical exams will incur an additional $75 re-testing fee.
  12. Expiration Policy; the Mentor and On-Line Mentor education programs 'Instruction Component' expires 6 months from the first scheduled session. The 'Independent Studies' component expires 12 months from the first scheduled session.
